Most of us have been touched by a life lost too soon from breast cancer. It's emotional and calls for us to act in whatever way we can.
There are many ways to support the research and education needed to provide early diagnosis and treatment. Some choose to participate in walkathons, volunteer at charity events, make direct contributions or utilize other entrepreneurial activities. A friend of mine is part of a female rowing team of breast cancer survivors. It all comes from a personal mission to make a difference and to help heal.
Featured are two Fiberfolio customers bringing their talent with yarn to support advancements in the research and cure of breast cancer.
Pam Irvin is a fiber artist working with exciting colors and textures to create accessories outside the boundaries of conventional knitting and crocheting. A percentage of the proceeds of the accessories shown will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. For more information, visit www.komencincinnati.org and Pam's site at www.entwined.com
Veronica Perrone is a knitter and crocheter and a Fiberfolio customer. She is offering her beautiful pink handmade scarves in honor of breast cancer awareness. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
